REBATES & REFERRALS:

Medicare

While you do not need a referral to access Calming Mind Counselling Brisbane services, to receive a Medicare rebate you will need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

With a Mental Health Care Plan through the Medicare Better Access Scheme, you receive 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. This means that Medicare will pay $85.20 each standard session for 10 sessions.

Alternatively, your GP may refer you for Non-Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling which entitles you to rebates of ($70.85) for up to 3 sessions.

Private Health Insurance

You may be eligible for coverage under your health insurance. Speak to your health insurance provider to confirm whether you are covered for mental health services by an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. We do not have a HICAPS machine onsite which means that if you choose to claim through private insurance, you will need to lodge this claim yourself.
